Come and see me in Vicenza at the B&B Al Ponte and you will find a really smart flat, part of Palazzo Fioccardo (a 19th century family joined to a political secret society called Carboneria!). The site is 100 mt from the famous Piazza dei Signori and Basilica Palladiana.
The spacious double bedroom is bright and has a window and also a nice flowered balcony, both facing the river. No noise here: ducks, herons and water hens will wish you goodnight and you’ll sleep the whole night!
The private bathroom has both a shower and a bath, a double lavabo and a window on the river.
Or you can choose the green room, with two single beds. Also this room offers a beautiful view on the river and it’s very quiet.
You may imagine to be in the country, but you really are in Vicenza city centre, in one of the oldest districts animated by cafes, nice restaurants, ice-cream shops and other.
The Teatro Olimpico, the art gallery, the Basilica Palladiana are close to my house and you can walk pleasantly to the Rotonda, Villa Valmarana ai nani and the Sanctuary of Monte Berico.
Arriving by train, the station is 5min. walk ant there you can catch all buses, also to the Fair.
If you drive to Vicenza, you will find a large parking nearly.
And don’t forget Palladio, his villas and palaces!
Well, Vicenza is a really wonderful town! A lot to see and to find out: don’t hesitate to come!
